Voting Dates
Primary Election: This Board of Supervisor race will not be involved in a primary.
General Election:
- Early Voting is done at the JCC Vote Center, 4095 Ironbound Rd:
- 8AM – 5PM Friday, Sept. 19 then weekdays through Fri Oct, 31
- Additionally, the Vote Center will be open on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8AM – 5PM.
- Election Day: On Nov. 4, all precinct polls open at 6AM and close at 7PM.
Are you registered to vote?
If you need to register, or re-register if you’ve moved or had a name change, you can use one of the methods below:
- In person at the James City County Office of Elections, 4095 Ironbound Road Williamsburg VA 23188
Online with the Virginia Department of Elections. There you can also check your registration status, find your polling place, and apply to vote absentee by mail.
Complete a Voter Registration Application form on your computer, print it, then mail it to the Office of Elections (above). All applications must be signed and dated. Review your application carefully before submission to this office.
Virginia allows same day registration, meaning you can register and vote in one trip to your polling place. If you do this, you’ll be given a Provisional Ballot that, after verification by the Registrar, will be reviewed and if valid, approved by the Electoral Board on the day after election day and counted in the vote total.
Where do I vote?
In James City County, early voting is conducted at the James City County Vote Center, collocated with the Office of Elections at 4095 Ironbound Road.
On Election Day, you will cast your ballot in your precinct’s polling place. If you are not sure where that is, you can find your polling place on the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal.
